Please note that your membership dues are not connected in any way with your
participation in our Email List (i.e., our Google Group). You
will not be automatically subscribed to our Email list by paying membership
dues, nor will you be removed from our Email list for failure to pay membership
dues. By paying your membership dues you can avoid the $5 surcharge per
sail and help support our club.
After paying your dues via PayPal, you will find
yourself on a PayPal confirmation/receipt page. Print this page out if its
convenient for you to keep as record. We keep an electronic record of your
payment for at least the remainder of the sailing season and will not lose track
of who is paid up.
Benefits of Membership: Although
you can receive most of our sailing invitations and participate in sails without
paying membership dues, paid-up members will generally be offered the first
opportunity to participate in special events or any events where participation
is limited.
Members also avoid a surcharge (generally $5)
for participating in our regular sails. Due to our limited staff, we do not
offer a part year membership. All membership is for the remainder of the sailing
season regardless of when you join. The RSSC sailing season runs from April 1 of
one year to March 31 of the subsequent year. However, if you join in
December, January, February or March will carry your membership until the second
April after you join (i.e., more than 12 months).

Proof of Membership: You can carry around any receipt of this PayPal transaction to use as a
temporary membership card. We generally are on the honor system when it
comes to figuring out who owes the $5 surcharge.
